MST3K Index
On May 8, 2021, MST3K announced that they have generated more than $6.5 million on Kickstarter and currently plans to use the funds to create 13 new episodes. It's been reported that the new episodes will appear on
Gismoplex,
which is MST3K's own streaming service. They will appear as they are completed rather than making all 13 episodes available at once.
Just about any information you would like to know about Season 13 can be found at
Paste Magazine.
1301 - Santo in the Treasure of Dracula [1969]
aka Santo en El tesoro de Dracula
Mexican wrestler El Santo invents a time machine. After somebody uses the machine to find the hidden location of Dracula's treasure, El Santo must hunt down the vampire.
1302 - Robot Wars [1993]
A renegade Megarobot pilot and an archaeologist must team up to thwart the Centro's attempts to resurrect a hidden Megarobot, with which they can challenge the prevailing order. That's as hard to read as it is to say.
1303 - Beyond Atlantis [1973]
A band of adventurers invade a native island determined to grab a reported fortune in special pearls held by the natives. The islanders are just as determined to keep their sacred lands intact. Complications ensue.
Sid Haig, creepy looking half-fish people and one guy's greed that has absolutely no limits. Gotta love it!
1304 - Munchie [1992]
Everything changes for young and bullied, Gage Dobson, when he stumbles into Munchie, a friendly gremlin-like creature that dresses like a lounge singer, sounds like a stand-up comedian and has magic powers.
Features Jennifer Love Hewitt in her film debut.
1305 - Doctor Mordrid [1992]
An unspeakable evil has come into our dimension and wants to rule over Earth, and only a mysterious sorceror known as Doctor Mordrid can stop him.
A film with Jeffrey Combs. Yahoo!!.
1306 - Demon Squad [2019]
aka Night Hunters
Nick Moon, P.I. (Paranormal Investigator), delves into a hidden world of monsters and creatures of the night as he takes on a case to retrieve an ancient artifact with astonishing power.
For a movie about demon hunting, it's mostly exceedlingly long scenes of boring dialog. Great for riffing but I was like, "For goodness sake, shut up and get to the next scene already!" - Doc
This episode is hosted by Joel Robinson, the first since 1993.
1307 - Gamera vs. Jiger [1970]
aka Gamera tai Daimaju Jaiga
When an ancient statue is moved for display in Expo '70, a giant, vaguely Triceratops-like monster is released. The monster heads for Japan in pursuit of the statue but first it must face Gamera!
We haven't seen the flying turtle since Season 3, 20 years ago. It's nice to have him back for one more adventure.
1308 - The Batwoman [1968]
aka La mujer murcielago
Batwoman (in a costume she probably picked up in a Walmart Kids Costumes Dept.) is called to investigate a whacked out scientist that is capturing wrestlers and using their spinal fluid to create a Gill Man. With that premise, I'm assuming drugs were involved.
A mad scientist owns a boat named
Reptilicus
...the name of a previous MST3K riffed film. This generates a few callbacks.
1309 - The Million Eyes of Sumuru [1967]
Sumuru is a beautiful but evil woman who plans world domination by having her sexy all-female army eliminate male leaders and replace them with her female agents.
Watch for Crow's impersonation of Kathrine Hepburn towards the end of the film. It's a riot.
This is a reprise of the local broadcast of episode
K18 1310 - The Shape of Things to Come [1979]
Some time in the future, man has set up colonies on the Moon, when Earth becomes uninhabitable. A madman decides to destroy the Moon colonies with his robots and automated ships, and only three people and their robot can stop him.
1311 - The Mask [1961]
aka The Mask 3D
A young archaeologist believes he is cursed by a mask that causes him to have weird nightmares and possibly to murder. Before committing suicide, he mails the mask to his psychiatrist, Dr. Barnes, who is soon plunged into the nightmare world of the mask.
This is the only B&W episode in Season 13. It can also be viewed as 2D or 3D. This was my favorite type of episode where the riffs were good and the movie itself is pretty good, as well. Really enjoyed this one - Doc.
1312 - The Bubble [1966]
A pregnant woman and her husband find themselves trapped in a remote town, whose inhabitants behave zombie-like, and search for an escape.
1313 - The Christmas Dragon [2014]
A group of orphans goes on a journey to restore the lost magic and save Christmas.
My MST3K Journey Comes to an End
With the viewing of "The Christmas Dragon" {above}, on September 12, 2023, I have now seen each and every one of the MST3K episodes ever produced for regular television consumption ...except
this one
as it is still a lost episode. Since I've never binged watched it (I think I'd get tired of it real fast that way) but rather watched it on occasion, I know it's taken me at least 10 years to see them all so I feel like I've actually accomplished something. I hope you found them to be as entertaining as I. Regardless, I will continue to maintain the website to the best of my ability for the duration. The duration of what is an entirely different matter.
---- Doc.
