Also known as the Banana Lace-Wing Bug. Mostly found in Sri Lanka, India, China, SE Asia and the tropical West Pacific islands. Despite their beauty, they can be quite damaging to banana, coconut and tumeric crops. If you're wondering if they are harmful, they do have a bite but they don't feed on humans so it would be incidental. They're not poisonous but, like with all insect bites, there can be a reaction to it.
