This strange looking vehicle is the 1979 Herzog Conte Schwimmwagen.
It's an amphibian car, meaning you can drive it on land or water ..at least,
that was the plan which didn't work out so well as it never got past a prototype.

A 1936 Bugatti 57G "Tank" won the 1937 Le Mans race and later set many land speed records.
There were only 3 built and the only one to still exist is at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum.
