This strange looking vehicle is the 1979 Herzog Conte Schwimmwagen.
It's an amphibian car, meaning you can drive it on land or water ..at least,
that was the plan which didn't work out so well as it never got past a prototype.

A 1936 Bugatti 57G "Tank" won the 1937 Le Mans race and later set many land speed records.
There were only 3 built and the only one to still exist is at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. Article and pictures

I love cars and this is one reason why ...the jet theme was sheer brilliance... naming it Le Sabre after the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, that had swept back wings plus all the other additions he added to resemble the jet. My fav thing is the back oversize "taillamp" that resembles a lit afterburner."
