Here's a 1956 photo of a painter on the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. We're facing north and what we're seeing is Sausalito and the Marin Hills. Of course, if we were looking the other way, we'd see San Francisco. Head roughly about 70 miles [115 km] in the direction you're looking, you'd find my house in Windsor, a little piece of paradise in Sonoma County. Look up Windsor. Astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy captured Mars rising behind the full Moon which temporarily eclipsed the Red Planet in the night sky on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

This Hubble image, released on Hubble's 21st birthday in 2011, depicts two colliding galaxies 300 million light years away in the constellation Andromeda. The large spiral galaxy at the top, known as UGC 1810, is being distorted by the gravitational influence of the lesser galaxy UGC 1813 below. This pair of interacting galaxies is called Arp 273 or simply "The Rose".

This sand sculpture is titled "Bleeding" by Guy-Olivier Deveau from Quebec. The sculpture was located on South Padre Island, Texas, in 2013.

Here's a couple images of Jupiter by the James Webb Telescope. This one includes several moons, the ring, the Great Red Storm (shown here in white) and auroras on the poles. The colors may seem different than what we're used to due to this being a composite of photos using various wavelengths.

When I post interesting little factoids like this, I always do a bit of research to confirm my facts before posting it. When I saw this, my first thought was that this must be fake or exaggerated. I mean, what are the odds of this actually happening? So, I did some research and found this to be 100% accurate. True synchronicity in action.
