Here's a 1956 photo of a painter on the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. We're facing north and what we're seeing is Sausalito and the Marin Hills. Of course, if we were looking the other way, we'd see San Francisco. Head roughly about 70 miles [115 km] in the direction you're looking, you'd find my house in Windsor, a little piece of paradise in Sonoma County. Look up Windsor. This Hubble image, released on Hubble's 21st birthday in 2011, depicts two colliding galaxies 300 million light years away in the constellation Andromeda. The large spiral galaxy at the top, known as UGC 1810, is being distorted by the gravitational influence of the lesser galaxy UGC 1813 below. This pair of interacting galaxies is called Arp 273 or simply "The Rose".

Here's a couple images of Jupiter by the James Webb Telescope. This one includes several moons, the ring, the Great Red Storm (shown here in white) and auroras on the poles. The colors may seem different than what we're used to due to this being a composite of photos using various wavelengths.
