2022 World Series - I was pulling for the Phillies to win the World Series but, at 73-years-old, with 54 years in baseball, 25 seasons managing 5 different teams, 2,093 wins, 1 National League pennant, 2 American League pennants, it was really good to see Dusty Baker finally win the World Series.

Want to know why Pluto is now officially a Dwarf Planet? Here's the size of Pluto compared to Australia. And we were able to tell a ship to travel 4 billion miles over a 15 year period to go look at it. Amazing!
Uh... Pluto, that is. It doesn't take nearly that long to go to Australia.

In another example, here's a rather telling picture of how serious the draught became at Lake Mead near Las Vegas.

This is the perpetual hexagonal storm on the north pole of Saturn. As you can see, it's really big. This was photographed during the Cassini mission. For more info on "The Hexagon", NASA has a interesting article on it.

This is still the heaviest hinged door in the world. It's not used so much to keep people from getting in but rather to keep it's contents from getting out ...it's been used extensively for nuclear research and experiments.

Google Ad - 1999. I said exactly the same thing about my website back in 1999. The difference today is, unlike Google, I can still say this about my website.

They call this the "Bride's Waterfall" for some strange reason. Catarata velo de la novia [literally translated as "Bridal Veil Waterfall"] is located near the city of Cajamarca in Central Peru.

Back in the mid-90s, I ran a BBS on my computer. For those not familiar, a Bulletin Board System was a forum set up on someone's computer (in this case, mine) that others would call and connect to via modem.
While in operation, I made this splash screen that folks would see when they connected. What's remarkable about this image is that no graphic software was used to create it. Since the BBS was a MS-DOS system, this ASCI image had to be created by typing out line after line of special characters and color codes and then saved as a file that would run when someone connected. Took me about 2 weeks to get it right.
PS: I was Fritz Goot back then.
